Report on Jonker Walk Jumble Sale

Saturday. Our first night and we took some time to set up the table, put up the banner and started selling. Sales wasn't so good as the space was cramped and we made a mistake of setting the table sideways. Halfway through the night we had a pleasant visit by a Rotarian from Seattle who was visiting Melaka. It was a tiring night as some of us came straight from work and to spend an additional 6 hours in Jonker Walk was tough job.

Sunday. The second night was more fruitful. Having had a good rest, we were more prepared mentally and physically. We were thankful that 2 other vendors decided to give us their space. We were able to to set 2 areas for sales and the wider area meant more things are displayed and sales picked up.

We finally closed "shop" at midnight and went for a well deserved supper.

Our 2 days effort: RM1,224.00

A big thank you to the friends who donated the things for sale and a pat on the back to all our members for a job well done.
